This game hardly has a story, you are a nameless protagonist given vague and genric reasons as to why to race and become the best in the city while making a lot of money while doing it. They magically get speed boosts despite them taking a corner poorly, when you use nitrous they also somehow use nitrous despite not actually using it.
A common and cheap way to make a racing game challenging. My only other complaint would be that it only takes about 10 hours to complete. This is a great game that really gives Need for Speed and other racing games a run for their money. Despite the age of Midnight Club Los Angeles, it is still a great game that holds up well. The game has a whole lot going for it, and racing fans would do well to check it out. Contender though? Most certainly. With plenty of shortcuts scattered throughout the thing, lots of interconnecting freeways and even a smattering of winding back roads, the variety here is about as vast as you could hope to see in a single city.
For the most part, the race markers the giant blooms of smoke that act as checkpoints on Ordered Races and the like do a good job of pointing you in the right direction, though there are times where the markers are tucked around a corner when they should have been placed at the corner to help you know you need to make the turn. City of Broken Dreamers: Book One.
Your other alternative to navigating the world is the GPS system, which is practically stellar from top to bottom. When you return to the game, it does the opposite, seamlessly dropping from the sky right back down to your ride again. From the GPS view, you can zoom in and out to get a closer look at the city to help you find shortcuts. I do have a couple small complaints for it though. Again though, these are somewhat small complaints of an otherwise fantastic menu system.
Conan Exiles Complete Edition. As for the racing itself, Rockstar San Diego has once again done a great job with the handling, general physics and overall feeling of the driving. Cars and bikes, for that matter kick and squeal when you hit the gas, and then take off in a plume of smoke. Players have the freedom to choose convenient tracks for reaching one checkpoint from the other. The game features an open environment, without having any virtual barrier that would force a player to follow a specific path.
Players can drive through any area, that's fine enough to be driven by. Midnight Club 2 has introduced a new feature called damage models. Now, the degree of damage a car or bike has inflicted can be understood from a HUD indicator. Damage caused is also reflected by the condition of the vehicle.
The best part is that even if damaged, the car or bike's speed and efficiency don't degrade. However, if the damage limit of the vehicle is exceeded, it bursts and puts the game to a standstill for a few seconds. The player can again start the race from that point with an undamaged version of the same vehicle. As we already said, different places feature different landscapes.
For instance, in Los Angeles, gamers can find tracks surrounded by congested crowds, hilly, barren suburbs. The city is filled with shortcuts and jumps, similar to what Midnight Club: Street Racing featured. One can find cobblestone alleys, ruins of monuments, Paris catacombs, and river Seine in Paris.
Tokyo features fluorescent avenues, glittering and shining, tight alleyways, and is filled with equally attractive tourist sights and attractions. The game has a separate car selection option, that features all the accessible vehicles a player can take. Along with the cars, there are statistics and a description of the cars given. The game also allows players to choose a car out of 4 shades.
Once you choose a car, a soundtrack gets played in the background. If, while driving, the car falls into a water body or from a cliff, it would reach the maximum limit of damage, which will cause the race of player to lost instantly. Midnight Club 2 features nice, scenic cities, with pretty high-quality visuals and a variety of vehicle collection. The car models are fantastic and attractive, though they are unlicensed. A little bit of shine has also been added to the cars.
Mainly, the nightlife of the city has been depicted in the game. Considering all its incorporated elements and aspects, developers have maintained the thrill and excitement that gamers expected from Midnight Club 2, featuring a handful of enhancements at the same time.
Below given are some of the spectacular features of this illegal car racing video game. If you compare the graphics and visuals employed in some of the current video games of the same genre, you would find that Midnight Club 2 has done a brilliant job in maintaining the same quality.
