Android head unit wont download spotify

Unfortunately for me and maybe for everyone else with the same issue as all of us, updating the firmware did not help the problem. I have an avh and updated from 8.

Im thinking it is something to do with the latest ios update on iphone. Before that my spotify integration on my head unit was seemless and perfect with album art and all.

Had it like that for about 6 months, then it just stopped playing. It's almost like it freezes. I press the volume and it shows the volume meter but I cant move or change it. I'm so happy I found this thread. I've been going crazy trying to adjust different settings on my head unit thinking it was not working because of something I did. You can play Spotify through your iPod screen on your head unit. But I hope they fix this problem soon. Does anyone know if there is a fix? I can use iPod mode and it plays Spotify. Reply 0 Likes. Ok so I found a way to make it work. There's 2 ways to do this. Install and older version and it works but you will lose all the new features of the updated spotify app. Other way is to install app cloner and clone the old version 8. Complete the cloning of the old spotify and install.

It will install a working version that works with kenwood decks. Now go back and install the updated version of spotify. After it installs you will now have 2 versions and they will work with each other. Play the music with the old version first then play on the new version and it will play from the old version to the updated version. Under the speaker play location selection of spotify you will now notice it plays through the phone example my phone is lg v It will show that it's playing on lgv30 for selection.

After this the native spotify in the kenwood decks will work, but in order to make this work make sure to have the old version renamed on the phone at all times.
