Glxgears download windows 10

Nice thanks for the info. Installed that now, just need to figure out how to use it. Set the display to localhost:0 IIRC , and then startup the programs you want.

I've used Xming a lot in the past. But I just installed it on a new computer and had, well, issues. I wanted to add the Windows fonts, but the requisite commands aren't there.

Then I noticed that it hasn't been updated since ! I'm gonna give VcXsrv a try. That's a bad choice. Xming fails silently if you run into problems, leaving you to guess what is wrong. The log is useless. It's free, it's open-source, and bit versions are offered. Gernot Gernot 4 4 silver badges 7 7 bronze badges.

Thats where VcXsr enters the stage. Not touching with a barge pole. Here's a fork on GitHub addressing that and other issues: github. It's very odd to reject a project just because of where it's hosted: there's nothing fundamentally wrong with SourceForge, yes it's clunky but reliability of each project just depends on whoever the developer is - just like GitHub.

In fact it's good GitHub doesn't quite have a monopoly on open source forges. It was not safe to download from SourceForge. It appears that has changed now.

Because Minecraft was programmed in Java, you can get it to run on just about any Linux distribution with the Java Runtime Environment installed and working 3D graphics drivers.

Most Linux distributions offer multiple options when it comes to executing Java programs:. Starting from Minecraft 1. To enjoy Minecraft on Linux, you need working 3D acceleration. You can test 3D acceleration using a popular OpenGL test called glxgears, which is part of the mesa-utils package. Because glxgears requires very little processing power, any decently powerful Linux computer with working 3D acceleration should be able to render hundreds of frames every second.

I think the problem has to do with one of these: 1. The nvidia driver is operating as a Render-Only Display Device 3. The Intel driver supports two Full Display Devices but the display connectors are on a thunderbolt docking station, not directly connected to the laptop.

In fact the laptop has no external monitor HDMI ports and the only way to use a display other than the laptop's built-in panel is to use an Dell docking station.

In this case it's model number WD19TB running the latest firmware. Done Building dependency tree Reading state information Done libglu1-mesa-dev is already the newest version 9. I've added the ppa and updated. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:. First of all try to install latest WSLg 1. Sorry, something went wrong. What's on your Nvidia Control Panel? The page you referenced shows an additional topic in the Nvidia control panel.

The Manage Display Mode topic is missing. Then I issues a wsl --shutdown from elevated Power shell. I see both gpu are available in WSL2. Also did you try running it in software only mode? Worth a try. Thank goodness I found it on Bing. You have made my day! Thank you again.
